While further elaboration probably isn't needed, I'll elaborate anyway.
Someone at my job became the unfortunate victim of a personal coup, but I don't know specific details. All I know is that our workplace has a policy about felonies...and what he did resulted in one. So the work place is one worker short and we're trying to make up for his absence.
Even though I know I had nothing to do with the situation, I still feel badly -- especially now that I'm being promoted to fill the space that he left. So it's a bittersweet occasion for me, perks with a side of guilt and a reminder of how expendable we really are and how blessed we can truly be.
That's not to say the job isn't without light-hearted moments, as a matter of fact yesterday was a prime example. Getting a wrong number can be fun, but it can also be a little awkward. A gentleman of a 'different orientation' called and -- while the news he had was meant for someone else -- I let him finish the story (with his permission, of course).
Honestly, I'm glad he enjoyed his night with the hairdresser, although I have to admit I've always been more of a listener than a talker...at least his night was exciting. I wished him the best after that and we hung up, though I'm sure we were both a little red in the face from the awkwardness of the moment.
My art block has actually lessened and I'm starting to sketch more often. I actually updated my website, so it's no longer purely MMM-related...though I still couldn't bring myself to completely delete the MMM sections. ;-;
Hopefully it's compatible with everyone's browser...and I'll finish the bonus materials fairly soon. I hope. o-o;
P.S. I'll do a review on Wall-E soon.
