I Miss My Sanity
Once upon a time, I was a sane person that did sane things...now I flirt with insanity in odd and wondrous forms.

My promotion is assured but the hours are late, as in 6pm to 2 in the morning. Needless to say, my mother isn't pleased (though when is she ever?) with the idea, but the idea of doubling my income is helping me take the idea with a grain of salt and an introspective expression. Also, I was woken up at 4am by the screeching of a fire alarm which needed the batteries to be changed...

Guess who had to get on the ladder and change all nine of the buggers? That's right, me. And there's nothing worse than having something screeching less than four inches from your forehead when you try to unplug it and change the batteries. It gives a nice feeling of urgency to the constant idea of breaking your back with an accidental fall...and makes sleep near-impossible at best.

So it is perhaps this lack of sleep that has inspired me to work on a website, and no...it's not the one I've linked to here. It's a brand new creature -- one that has a better direction and darker (perhaps more evil) layout than Jericho's Den. Don't worry, when I finish I'll be sure to put the link somewhere.

In the meantime, I have some sleep to catch up on...and a design to come up with. Later.
